Many people love to dress fashionably. Sure, there are plenty who don’t care about things like that, but for those who do it can be hard to find the clothes they want at the prices they can afford. No one wants to feel like they have to go broke so they can look nice. Instead of spending top dollar on their clothing, they can, instead, spend a lot less and still look fashionable. Thrift stores, yard sales, moving sales, and similar places (like consignment shops) are wonderful places to find great fashion and not spend much money. You’ll have to look through a lot of stuff, but you can usually find something great.
Make sure you have plenty of time when you go to a store or a sale. Don’t rush, because you can overlook things that you’d really like to have. Instead, take your time and make a day of it. Look around carefully and go through everything. Look at the labels, so you can see where the clothing came from. Take a careful look at the style and see if the clothing fits you well. Haggle over price. You can always ask if they’ll take less. Even if they don’t, you won’t know until you ask them.
Before you actually buy a piece of clothing, inspect it carefully and make sure it’s not damaged in any way. If it is, and you can’t repair it properly (and where it won’t be noticed), it’s better to pass it up unless you’re a good seamstress who can use it for some other purpose. That way you won’t end up with a closet full of ‘great deals’ that you can’t wear because there’s something wrong with them. When you choose carefully, you really can get a lot of great fashion for less.
